Payment

Do you accept insurance?

We accept insurance through the Alma platform for Cigna, Aetna, and Optum. However, you must book an initial consultation through the Alma platform.

For everyone else, we are considered Out-of-Network (OON) providers . If you have a PPO or POS we can provide you with a receipt called a Superbill or Reimbursement Statement that some insurance companies use to reimburse you for services.

Note that we cannot guarantee that a superbill will be approved by your insurance provider. It’s a good idea to contact them beforehand to find out if they will accept a superbill or reimburse you for therapy services from an out-of-network provider.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards and HSA (Health Savings Account). Payment is due immediately upon completion of each session.

Why choose self-pay over insurance?

Being out-of-network providers allow us to provide focused, individualized care tailored to your specific needs and goals—free from the restrictions and limitations imposed by outside insurance companies who only care about the bottom line. Even if you have mental healthcare coverage, the self-pay option grants you greater confidentiality and control over your unique therapy journey.

Why you should consider online therapy.

Online therapy provides access to care from anywhere in California. For people who are limited by transportation or a small pool of therapists in the local area, online therapy could be the answer. Online therapy is easier and more affordable than traditional in-person appointments. You don’t have to spend time and money traveling back and forth while reducing your carbon footprint. You also don’t have to wait weeks or months for an appointment!

If you feel nervous about trying online therapy, we encourage you to place the responsibility for success in our hands. Both Erin and Lourdes are experienced, friendly therapists that can walk you through the beginning of online therapy.

Therapy shouldn’t be the highlight, life should be the highlight. You deserve a therapy experience that fits your lifestyle and gives you the flexibility to focus on the things that matter most.
